nyc photobloggers 2

anytime you get a chance to meet up with some of the most talented photographers in the area, you should jump at the opportunity. this is the second event that i've been to this year and i am still in awe of the talent these group of individuals possess.

slowly i am picking up some techniques on how to take better photos, so one day, i can be one of the people up on stage presenting my work, but until then...

once again, the event was held at the apple store soho, which is perfect since my office is only a few blocks away.

so, sit back, enjoy the dark pictures and check out the links to each of the blogger's sites. trust me, you'll be amazed.

feast of san genarro

autumn is here, so that means... the annual feast of san genarro! i met up with my friends joe, mel, will and marisa and took a stroll down the streets of chinatown/little italy and took in the sights, sounds and smells of one of my favorite times of year.

it was pretty packed, but i heard it was worse over the weekend. a friend of mine said she couldn't walk through the fair, even on the sidewalk!

everything was either fried, chocolate or candied covered... i will not comment on the stuff on the right. :P

joe (top) and will showing off their pitching skills. joe clocked in at, i think 61 mph, while will topped out at 58.

yum.. zeppoles ::drool::

ok, this was a strange one. we sat down at vincent's. we were waiting for our food, while listening to ktu, which was broadcasting from inside the restaurant, when we saw this bus driving down hester st. since the block was closed for the fair, he had to make the turn on mott st. the driver must've been there for 15 minutes before he finally made the turn. pedestrians helped the driver by giving hand signals (no, not the finger!). it was such a spectacle that this group of tourist hung out and took pictures of the bus and the 'turn'.

block party

one of my bestest friends, (hi mel!) had their annual block party over the weekend. with the remnants of hurrican (tropical storm?) ivan, the turnout was much lower than other years, but we still had a blast. (but i have a massive headache from the strong winds and the low temps)

ray, trying not to fall doing the limbo.

i've been on this vitamin water kick for the last month or two. it's ridiculously expensive for a glorified gatorade, but for some reason, i love it.

over the weekend, i was driving to this softball field in whitestone when i looked across the van wyck expressway and there it was :O

vitamin water central!

wonder if they offer tours of the facilities =)

What's next?

saw this chalk drawing on the floor on my way to get lunch. i wish i could draw like that.
